Research, Strategy & Expansion (RSE) Manager

Job Summary

The RSE Manager shall be responsible for successfully driving the company’s expansion project through intensive research and viable growth solutions, taking territory peculiarities into consideration.

Job Description/Requirements


  • Assessing market trends and competitors and identifying threats and opportunities and presenting findings, and projections as well as recommended actions.
  • Planning, implementing and managing proposed recommendations and projects.
  • Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes.
  • Strategy formulation – Developing strategic frameworks to analyze the existing activity as well as new market opportunities (partner, acquire, build).
  • Advising the organization on the viable areas to venture into with clear justifications
  • Carry out research and analysis independently in support of business units, including company strategies, strategic planning process, and key operational issues.
  • Initiating and maintaining partnerships with key industry stakeholders and negotiating business deals
  • Assist in the acquisition of documents and resources needed to succeed in the captured business areas.
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative research into new business areas
  • Advising the organization on the viable areas to venture into with clear justifications
  • Initiating and maintaining partnerships with key industry experts and negotiating contracts to support projects
  • Researching into available funding opportunities for captured business areas and soliciting funding for the projects
  • Ensure all growth and expansion operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way and improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor business climate, trends in technology and development, and government activity in areas of the company’s current and anticipated product lines.
  • Support the development of long-term organizational strategy and serve as a strategy coach to all departmental leadership within the business.
  • Leads trials concerning new business initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts; based on results, make, recommends, and implements adjustments and modifications.


  • Leading the development of the strategic planning process and reporting on progress
  • Ensuring expansion projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Ensuring compliance and risk obligations are met and reported
  • Work with the executive team to manage change and ensure the operations is fit for growth


  • Significant experience leading new business or expansion. (Provide evidence or report on a past expansion project. Expansion evidence/report in a similar environment is an added advantage)
  • Exceptional project management expertise
  • Significant experience operating at a managerial level
  • Proven success developing relationships of strategic importance that improve outcomes for the business and its clients
  • Brilliant presentation and communication skills
  • Average proficiency in communicating in French and/or Arabic
  • Great understanding of and significant experience in same or similar industry
