Refrigeration Technician

• Installation: Sets up new refrigeration systems, ensuring correct configuration and efficient operation.
• Maintenance: Performs routine checks, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
• Repair: Diagnoses and fixes issues with refrigeration equipment, addressing problems like leaks, compressor failures, or control system malfunctions.
• Troubleshooting: Identifies and resolves system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
• Refrigerant Handling: Safely handles refrigerants, managing charging, recovery, and recycling in compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA certifications).
• Safety Compliance: Ensures work practices meet safety standards, minimizing risks to themselves and others.
• Customer Service: Interacts with clients, explaining issues, repairs, and maintenance needs.

• Technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, components, and systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
• Certifications for refrigerant handling (e.g., EPA Section 608 in the US).
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Physical capability for handling equipment and working in varied conditions.
• Often requires vocational training or apprenticeship in refrigeration/air conditioning.
• Candidates should preferably be residents of or have proximity to the Mile 2, Apapa, or Oshodi areas.
