Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of imaging equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, Mommo, etc.) to produce diagnostic images.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
- Accurately position patients and adjust imaging equipment to capture clear, usable images.
- Maintain patient records and prepare accurate imaging reports for interpretation by radiologists.
- Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine imaging requirements and prioritize urgent cases.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA or equivalent privacy laws.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with imaging technology and best practices.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- 2-3 years of previous experience in a clinical imaging environment is preferred
- Professional license: must have a valid and updated practicing license
- Certification in radiation safety and CPR (if required).
- Previous experience in a clinical imaging environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- May involve working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting or moving patients, and handling heavy imaging equipment.
- Exposure to radiation; strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory
