Radiographer

Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of imaging equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, Mommo, etc.) to produce diagnostic images.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Accurately position patients and adjust imaging equipment to capture clear, usable images.
• Maintain patient records and prepare accurate imaging reports for interpretation by radiologists.
• Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine imaging requirements and prioritize urgent cases.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA or equivalent privacy laws.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with imaging technology and best practices.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Imaging.
• 2-3 years of previous experience in a clinical imaging environment is preferred
• Professional license: must have a valid and updated practicing license
• Certification in radiation safety and CPR (if required).
• Previous experience in a clinical imaging environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

• May involve working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting or moving patients, and handling heavy imaging equipment.
• Exposure to radiation; strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory
