The Community Pharmacist is responsible for the safe dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. The role requires active patient engagement, accurate medication management, and effective collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and in accordance with professional standards.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Provide patient counselling on medication use, dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
- Ensure compliance with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations and other applicable guidelines.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines, including controlled drugs.
- Supervise pharmacy operations, including support staff and interns where applicable.
- Manage inventory levels, monitor expiry dates, and minimise stock losses.
- Keep accurate records for prescriptions, controlled medicines, and regulatory inspections.
- Promote health awareness and provide basic health advice to walk-in clients.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate clinical concerns when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
- Fully registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Valid Annual Practising License.
- Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting is an added advantage.
- Must reside in Lagos, preferably within Ikeja Cantonment or surrounding areas.
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical care, drug interactions, and medication safety.
- Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
