Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and in accordance with professional standards.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and appropriateness before dispensing.
  • Provide patient counselling on medication use, dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations and other applicable guidelines.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines, including controlled drugs.
  • Supervise pharmacy operations, including support staff and interns where applicable.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor expiry dates, and minimise stock losses.
  • Keep accurate records for prescriptions, controlled medicines, and regulatory inspections.
  • Promote health awareness and provide basic health advice to walk-in clients.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional pharmacy environment.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate clinical concerns when necessary.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
  • Fully registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Valid Annual Practising License.
  • Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting is an added advantage.
  • Must reside in Lagos, preferably within Ikeja Cantonment or surrounding areas.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical care, drug interactions, and medication safety.
  • Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
