We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our growing team at PISI Integrated Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital products and services, including VAS (Value-Added Services), Lottery platforms, APIs, and USSD applications.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing for web, mobile, and USSD-based platforms.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Work with development teams to reproduce and debug issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand feature requirements and expected user behaviors.
- Ensure products comply with internal quality standards, user acceptance criteria, and regulatory requirements (NCC, NLRC, etc.).
- Contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes and tools.
- Validate billing flows, integrations with telecom aggregators, APIs, and third-party platforms.
- Conduct sanity and smoke testing after every deployment or update.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within a telecoms or digital service company.
- Experience testing USSD, SMS, Web, and mobile-based products.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with VAS platforms, billing flows, and telco integrations (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile) is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team setup.
- Passion for quality and delivering reliable digital products at scale.
- Technical Skills and Competencies
- Essential QA Skills
- Manual Testing (functional, regression, sanity, smoke testing)
- Bug Tracking & Test Management (e.g., JIRA, Trello, TestRail)
- API Testing (using Postman, Swagger)
- Testing of USSD/SMS-based services
- Familiarity with subscription billing systems via telcos (shortcodes, keyword opt-in/out)
- Valuable Tech Competencies
- SQL: Ability to write simple queries for data validation
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols
- Exposure to VAS platforms, telecom integrations, and mobile billing infrastructure
- Version Control: Basic familiarity with Git or similar tools
- Bonus Skills (Added Advantage)
- Automation Testing (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
- Load/Performance Testing (e.g., JMeter, Locust)
- Basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting)
- Experience working in agile teams or using DevOps pipelines
