Job Summary

The role focuses primarily on press releases and communicating ImpactHER’s activities to the public. We are looking for an organized and cool-tempered professional with a creative mind and excellent communication skills. If you are also confident in your public speaking and project management abilities, we’d like to meet you.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective  communications strategy 
  • Ensure that all communications and marketing material align with brand standards
  • Collaborate with team lead to develop and implement PR policies and procedures
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including blog posts, newsletters, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities. 
  • Support fundraising campaigns, event planning, and management.
  • Plan, implement and manage public relations events and initiatives.
  • Create and follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of good content. 
  • Secure strategic partnerships that promote company goals 
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients 
  • Build long-term relationships with influencers and key stakeholders
  • Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise.
  • Prepare and submit PR reports.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a communications role.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing software. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience in the creation of radio ads and various external communication strategies
  • Strong event management and planning skills (physical & virtual events).
  • Good time management and organizational skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
