Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Planner to develop, monitor, and optimise project schedules for multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery, cost control, and timely completion.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive construction schedules using MS Project (and/or Primavera P6)
  • Break down project scope into work packages and create realistic timelines.
  • Monitor and update project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify critical paths, delays, and schedule risks; recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate planning inputs from engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Track progress against baseline schedules and produce weekly/monthly planning reports.
  • Assist in resource planning—manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Prepare project dashboards, S-curves, and performance indicators.
  • Attend project meetings and provide schedule updates to stakeholders.
  • Support cost control teams by aligning schedule and budget data.
  • Ensure compliance with company planning standards and best practices.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ proven experience in planning for construction projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Project (mandatory)
  • Experience with other planning tools, such as Primavera P6, is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of step two and step three technical skills in construction planning
  • Work breakdown structuring, dependency mapping, activity definition
  • Schedule development, resource loading, critical path analysis, risk forecasting
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Solid communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
