Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of high-impact programmes aligned with organizational strategy and mission.
- Identify funding opportunities and lead the preparation of compelling grant proposals and concept notes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure programme goals are realistic, measurable, and aligned with donor expectations.
- Manage donor relationships and reporting, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform programme design and decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and implement improvements where necessary.
- Build partnerships with relevant stakeholders including NGOs, donors, government agencies, and community groups.
- Contribute to strategic planning, resource mobilization, and organizational growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in programme development, preferably in the non-profit or NGO sector.
- Strong proposal writing and project design skills with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Demonstrated experience in donor engagement and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Master’s degree and previous experience working in an NGO are added advantages.
