Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals for sustainability and cost efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for critical components, such as batteries, electric drivetrains, semiconductors, and charging infrastructure.
- Build and maintain a resilient supply chain for key materials like lithium, cobalt, and rare-earth elements.
Cost and Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Analyze and reduce the total cost of ownership for electric mobility components and services.
- Negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and warranties.
Sustainability and Compliance:
- Ensure all procurement activities align with environmental, social, and governance goals.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, such as ISO certifications, emissions regulations, and regional policies.
- Promote the adoption of renewable and sustainable materials in the supply chain.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to source materials that meet product design and innovation requirements.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to optimize the end-to-end supply chain.
- Communicate procurement strategies and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Technology and Data Management:
- Leverage procurement software and analytics tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Track key metrics like cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels to drive continuous improvement.
- Research and adopt emerging technologies that enhance procurement processes and support the company’s electric mobility goals.
Requirements:
