Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems. The M&E Specialist will ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning to support evidence-based decisions.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement M&E frameworks, indicators, data collection tools, and reporting systems
  • Develop and maintain performance monitoring plans, logframes, and results frameworks
  • Ensure timely and accurate data collection, validation, analysis, and storage
  • Lead baseline studies, mid-term reviews, and final evaluations
  • Prepare high-quality M&E reports for internal use and external stakeholders/donors
  • Support program teams in using data for adaptive management and learning
  • Build the capacity of staff and partners on M&E concepts, tools, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational M&E standards
  • Promote learning, knowledge management, and continuous improvement across programs


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in development or humanitarian programs
  • Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experience with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Proven experience working with indicators, logframes, and results-based management
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with donor-funded projects (e.g., USAID, EU, UN, World Bank) is an asset
  • High level of integrity and commitment to accountability and learning
