Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Planning & Coordination: Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Manage the scheduling of shipments, transportation routes, and delivery timelines. Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and coordinate the movement of goods between warehouses, suppliers, and customers. Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and manage stock rotations (FIFO/FEFO). Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure the accuracy of stock levels.
  • Shipment & Freight Management: Organize and track shipments of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Negotiate with transport companies, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure the best rates and service levels. Handle any issues or delays in shipping and work on resolutions promptly.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all logistics-related documentation (e.g., delivery notes, invoices, import/export forms) is accurate and properly filed. Monitor compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including customs clearance. Maintain records of shipment and inventory transactions for audit purposes.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with the procurement, sales, and production teams to align logistics with supply chain requirements. Ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location at the right time. Assist in forecasting demand to ensure that inventory levels are adequate for customer orders.
  • Cost Management & Optimization: Monitor logistics costs and recommend ways to reduce expenses through efficient routing and transportation methods. Analyze transportation expenses, including fuel, handling fees, and shipping costs. Evaluate the performance of logistics providers and identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, delays, or issues. Resolve customer complaints related to shipping and delivery in a timely and professional manner. Track and manage returns or exchanges related to logistics issues.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track logistics performance metrics, including delivery times, shipping costs, and inventory turnover. Prepare regular reports on logistics operations, providing insights into areas of improvement or cost reduction. Recommend and implement logistics process improvements based on performance analysis.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and tools (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems).
  • Good understanding of shipping regulations and compliance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and logistics management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and service providers.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in logistics processes.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to warehouses or other logistics facilities.
  • May involve some travel for site visits or vendor meetings.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines or handle urgent logistics issues.
