Licensed Lawyer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all necessary legal documents for case filings, including briefs, motions, and other court submissions.
• Schedule and conduct depositions of witnesses and expert witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research, including analysis of legal principles, case law, judicial opinions, statutes, and regulatory requirements.
• Apply accurate legal citation standards and conduct thorough statutory interpretation to support written analyses and legal arguments.
• Ensure the accuracy and proper organization of all case files, documentation, notes, and reports.
• Engage in negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes that satisfy the strategic goals of the firm while addressing client interests.
• Ensure that all parties comply with court-ordered judgments and fulfill required fines or penalties.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, lawsuits, deeds, wills, and appeals.

Requirements:

• LL.B degree and B.L from the Nigerian Law School.
• A first-class or 2.1 certificate from the university.
• Minimum of 6 months of post-call legal practice experience.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to represent clients effectively in court and in negotiations.
• Good people skills for effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of the Head of Legal.
• Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
