Job Summary

The HRIS and business Analyst position is in the high skill category and will be responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity of human resources information systems (HRIS) data, coordinating HRIS projects, and providing support for HR systems and applications. The position plays a key role in capturing and maintaining employee information, conducting regular reviews and updates of HRIS processes, and supporting employee movement and compensation processes. Additionally, the analyst supports payroll administration to configure and test payroll processes and approve Workday requests in line with local processes. This role requires a blend of deep technical and IT expertise, HR knowledge to ensure that effective support to HR and to the organization.

Job Description/Requirements


JDE data maintenance/Payroll Admin:

  • JDE is the payroll system for employees, interns, and SPY. Data maintenance is required to ensure accurate data is used for payroll for the various groups. Responsibilities include coordinating and ensuring new hire information, exits, promotions, and all other changes to employees’ information are captured in JDE.

JDE Payroll Admin:

  • The role is responsible for all payroll related configurations e.g., Processing intern and SPY payroll and exit payouts and set up of new PDBAs, change of DBA rates, change or creation of new payment vouchers for deductions etc. These activities also involve testing the configurations and scenarios in JDE test environment before replicating to the production environment.

JDE Timewriting:

  • This role creates the foundational data and supports the maintenance planner roles in JV, EGTL and DW
  • Create, maintain timewriting code, rates, and cycle.
  • Setup and maintain personnel on the approved timewriting entity and approval route.


Workday data maintenance:

  • Employee Movement Partner: Support employee movement and workday processes to ensure all transactions relating to employee movement and compensation are captured and processed in the HR systems of record (Workday and JDE)
  • Benefits Partner: review and approval of request to change benefits plans, dependents, and beneficiary change.
  • Timekeeper/Absence Partner: support, monitor and manage time and absence for Nigeria.
  • Recruiter: support the end-to-end talent acquisition process for internal and external postings.
  • Super Reporter: Provide reporting support to internal and external stakeholders.


JDE HR SME/change coordinator:

  • Approvals/review processes/security access and process improvements
  • Configure and maintain operational and ad-hoc Payroll and TR reports in Hubble.
  • Monitor and resolve issues arising from the integration of employee data from Workday into JDE
  • Functional tester during JDE batch update, tool release/upgrade


Workday SME/NMA contact:

  • Participation in Workday HCM Projects and Implementations:
  • Provide expertise across Workday activities.
  • Build relationships across the HR teams to develop a good understanding of all process areas and represent the Global HRIS Teams professionally with a range of key stakeholders, internal and external.


HRIS/HR Process Document:

  • Supporting HRIS systems (needs analysis, research, design, testing, quality control, deployment, training, and administration) and human resources end users in the use of HRIS applications and desktop tools.
  • Develop dashboards to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and validity of HR data.
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance.
  • Talent Acquisition Technical SME: Review requirements to provide and train on available productivity tools to simplify/automate the selection process.
  • Develop Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots: Develop and support operational and ad-hoc RPA bots to automate repetitive workflows.
  • Key resource for any HRIS, HR Administration and digital projects: The knowledge of NMA HRIS landscape makes it essential that any local or enterprise HRIS project has this role involved from the beginning to the end, including automation of local processes for HR.




  • Bachelor’s degree, in Engineering, IT, HR or related field
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems and databases, such as JDE, Workday or similar platforms. At least 5 years of experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of HR processes and data privacy regulations is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to liaise with HR and IT departments.
  • Agile and proactive
  • Ability to identify, lead, guide and coach project team members on digital opportunities and lead HRA projects to address opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Comfortable and credible in assessing impact of change, communication, digital and training needs for the function.
  • Ability to effectively design, gain alignment and successfully execute significant digital and process improvement initiatives from project start to finish.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep information confidential.
