Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing illnesses and injuries
- Prescribing medications for preventive measures and aftercare
- Developing post-operation treatment plans to promote the overall health of the patient
- Maintaining detailed patient records on paper or digitally
- Working under the supervision of hospital administration to comply with facility guidelines
- Adhering to safety and cleanliness standards in the operating room
- Using surgical tools to remove or fix parts of the body
- Coordinating with other medical professionals like Anaesthesiologists and Nurses to ensure successful and safe operations
- Scheduling follow-up visits with patients to ensure continuing health
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of MBBS
- Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as a General Surgeon or similar role
- Fantastic manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visuospatial awareness
- Superb organizational and time management skills
- Excellent decision-making skills and communication
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Emotionally resilient with the ability to make patients feel at ease
- Great management and leadership skills
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a General Surgeon
