Job Summary
AGRIFA International Ltd, an agribusiness company operating in Ogun State, is looking for a motivated, results-driven Food Science Technician to perform laboratory tests, analyze data, and create reports for the company’s food safety protocols. The ideal candidate is responsible for preparing samples, conducting experiments, validating results for food products, maintaining accurate records and for following safety protocols.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of high-quality plantain flour by preparing samples for testing, performing quality assurance tests, and analyzing data
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments to analyze the chemical, physical, and nutritional components of food products
- Ensure that food products meet safety and quality standards and comply with government regulations
- Design, conduct, and evaluate experiments to improve food product quality, safety, and consistency
- Perform various tests and analysis to determine the presence of contaminants, bacteria, allergens, and other harmful substances
- Adhere to food safety regulations and lab safety protocols to ensure compliance
- Maintain the cleanliness and sterility of the lab environment
- Monitor and document test results and maintain accurate records of results
- Examine chemical and biological samples in order to identify cell structures, and to locate bacteria, or extraneous material, using microscope
Requirements:
- No less than 5 years of experience in a similar or related role in a food industry setting with a demonstrated track record of leadership, hard work and success
- Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field
- Strong understanding of microbiological testing and food safety regulations
- Experience with lab equipment and testing methodologies
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to use computer software to analyze data, document and report test results
- Ability to perform chemical, physical, and microbiological tests
- Solid and verifiable references
Location: Sagamu, Ogun State
Note: Compensation for this role consists of a monthly salary. The employer is not offering relocation support; however, candidates who are willing to relocate at their own expense are welcome to apply.
