Fixed Income Dealer

Responsibilities:

• Trade within the fixed-income market with a focus on Nigeria’s debt market.
• Make markets for clients including Pension Fund Administrators, Insurance Firms, and Asset Managers.
  
• Strong understanding of investment strategies and risk management.
  
• Conduct market research to generate actionable trade ideas.
  
• Construct analytical models using fundamental and technical analysis.
  
• Work with the trading team to improve performance and delivery of service to clients.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year experience as a dealer in a Trading/Asset Management firm.
• ACI Dealing Certificate is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  
• Good understanding of debt markets with a sound approach to technical and fundamental analysis.
  
• Proven experience in investment and financial assets management.
  
• A solid understanding of financial markets.
  
• Must be proactive and can take initiative and think “out of the box”.
  
• Efficient and goal-oriented.
• Daily and periodic reporting on the investment positions and outlook.
  
• Able to work within a team.
  
• Able to prioritize competing commitments and work accurately under pressure.
  
• Strong competence in Microsoft Office including Excel.
  
• Knowledge of Bloomberg LP is advantageous.
