Junior Maintenance Technician (Trainee)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting).
• Support routine inspection of rooms, hallways, public areas, spa rooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
• Help identify faults or damage and report promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with replacing bulbs, switches, sockets, shower heads, faucets, and similar minor fixtures.
• Support garden and water system checks (training provided).
• Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain cleaning and proper storage of tools and equipment.
• Help monitor generators, water pumps, AC units, electrical panels, etc.
• Assist with room turnarounds by ensuring all facilities operate properly.
• Assist in responding quickly to guest complaints or urgent repair calls.
• Support the maintenance team during power issues, water leaks, or AC breakdowns.
• Record work done in the maintenance logbook or digital system.
• Report shortages of materials, tools, or consumables.
• Follow all equipment handling and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an OND qualification
• Willingness to learn and strong attention to detail
• Good physical strength and stamina
• Basic understanding of tools (screwdrivers, pliers, spanners, etc.)
• Ability to follow instructions, punctual, and reliable
• Team player
• Good attitude and respect for guests and staff
• Hardworking, teachable, observant, and comfortable with basic hands-on tasks.
• Any prior hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical basics, plumbing support, or handyman jobs is an added advantage.
