Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide valuable financial insights, planning, and analysis for effective decision-making.
- Develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to help achieve financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
- Manage, guide, and supervise the performance of the finance team.
- Oversee tax compliance.
- Maintain financial stability by effectively managing assets and liabilities.
- Prepare financial reports, analyses, and summaries to provide accurate and timely information.
- Manage cash flow effectively to ensure the smooth running of the business.
- Establish accounting processes and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare year-end accounts and statutory accounts according to legal requirements.
- Conduct internal audits such as salary reviews, cost control strategies, procurement, and vendor expenditures to ensure financial accountability and transparency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Professional certification, such as ICAN, CPA, or CFA, is required.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or ERP systems) and advanced use of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Deep understanding of regulatory standards, tax laws, and compliance frameworks relevant to the industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities with experience in supervising finance and accounting teams.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging management, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, and cost control.
