Finance Associate
Job summary
The Finance Associate is responsible for the execution of day to day financial tasks. This role ensures that payments, inflows, and finance records are accurately captured and organized. The Associate will support inventory tracking, budget monitoring, and help maintain financial compliance through proper documentation and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities:
Process Approved Daily Payments:
- Ensure that vendor, staff, and service payments are initiated and processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure data accuracy in payment entries and reconciliations to support clean reporting and avoid downstream errors.
Record Financial Inflows:
- Capture all incoming funds such as customer payments, grants, and internal transfers.
- Maintain accurate cash flow reporting and bank reconciliation.
Maintain Financial Documentation:
- Enter data on vendor expense sheets and manually log every expense into structured sheets.
- Categorize payments by vendor, department, and purpose to support expense tracking and audits.
Assist in Monthly Stock Counts:
- Support the warehouse or inventory team during end-of-month stock counts.
- Ensure stock values match financial records.
- Analyze inventory data, calculate restocking values, and track inventory sold.
Weekly Order Reconciliation:
- Match sales orders with payments received.
- Cross-check entries across sales platforms, bank statements, and inventory records to spot discrepancies early.
Financial Reporting and Budget Monitoring:
- Compile all income and expenses into a live dashboard (Google Sheets or BI tools) to reflect real-time profitability and cost trends across the business.
- Compare actual monthly spend and income to the budget forecast.
- Flags variances, notes the reasons, and suggests adjustments to stay on track.
- Cross-verify sales records, vendor payments, and inventory movement using the platforms and sheets provided to ensure there are no leaks or accounting errors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial reporting
- Proficient in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and dashboards)
- Familiarity with budgeting tools and expense tracking systems
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in inventory or warehouse financial processes is a plus
