Aesthetic nurse

Responsibilities:

• Help patients follow through with their post-procedure care plans by providing education about aftercare requirements and helping them identify resources for medical supplies or equipment
• Working with other medical staff members to ensure the well being of patients during and after procedures
• Ensuring that patients are comfortable during their appointments by providing them with blankets or pillows
• Communicating with physicians about patient conditions and progress
• Recording patient information such as vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and past surgical procedures
• Helping patients feel comfortable during procedures by explaining what will happen during treatment
• Provide preoperative instructions for patients who are about to undergo a procedure
• Dressing wounds or administering injections
• Performing diagnostic testing such as taking blood samples, administering anesthesia, and administering other medications
• Consulting with patients.
• Setting appointments.
• Interviewing and medically screening patients before providing services
• Administration of drugs via oral, intravenous, intramuscular, dermal, topical, inhalation, and subcutaneous routes and identification of drug reactions and adverse effect
• Venipuncture for collection of blood samples and securing of cannula for administration of different intravenous therapy
• Fluid, blood, and blood products administration as well as I/O management
• Identifying and reading basic laboratory values.
• Arterial and central line insertion.

Requirements:

• This position is open preferably to a female candidate
• Candidates should possess a RN/B.Sc Degree with 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.
  
• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree / HND / OND / NCE qualification.
• Training and Certification in relevant nursing specialties and procedures (RPON certification).
• Full registration with a valid practice license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Resuscitation skills and procedures-BLS, ALS, PLS
• Researching and learning about new cosmetic procedures and medical skin treatments
• Active listening skills when talking with patients
  
• Empathy and compassion when providing services or assisting patients with postsurgical care
• Attention to detail and safety when administering skin treatments
• The candidate needs to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of operation procedures and patient safety.
  
• The ideal must be compassionate and goes one step further by being a critical thinker, fast to act in emergencies.
• A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patients and family and client facility staff.

• Professional and ethical.

Training: Aesthetic nurses receive most of their training on the job.

Work schedule: 9am - 5pm Monday to Saturday (Off Thursdays)

Location: Lagos

• Live within the Lekki/Ajah axis of Lagos state
• Be ready to resume immediately

Remuneration: Beginners Salary while on training: NGN 180,000 monthly (take-home)
