Job Summary
Require a specialist in diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases of the blood and bone marrow. You will oversee a wide range of conditions, including blood clots, bleeding disorders, anaemia, and cancers of the blood like leukemia and lymphoma. You will oversee blood transfusions, red cell exchanges and bone marrow transplants.

Job Description/Requirements
- Analyze blood and bone marrow samples to identify abnormalities in blood cell counts, clotting factors, and other components.
- Use laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures to diagnose a wide range of blood disorders.
- Interpret results from tests like complete blood counts (CBC), blood smears, bone marrow biopsies, and genetic tests.
- Develop personalized treatment plans.
- These plans may involve medication (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy), blood transfusions, iron infusions, and other supportive therapies.
- Manage treatment for blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, including chemotherapy protocols and bone marrow transplantation.
- Coordinate care for bleeding disorders like hemophilia, including the administration of clotting factor concentrates.
- Provide ongoing care and support to patients with blood disorders.
- Educating patients and their families about the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatments as needed, and evaluate outcomes.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for their patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and treatment advancements in hematology.
- Participate in clinical trials and research studies.
- Develop new treatment strategies and therapies for blood disorders.
- Carry out red cell exchanges using the apheresis machine.
- Involved in transfusion medicine, ensuring the availability of safe blood products for transfusions.
Requirements:
- MBBS is required.
- A minimum of a year of experience.
Work Schedule:
- 10 days on; 20 days off
