Job Summary
The Communications Intern will assist in managing the organization's social media pages, developing content for the online community, and supporting various communications tasks in line with VFN’s mission and vision

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts on various platforms.
- Contribute to the development of communications materials such as newsletters, brochures, and reports.
- Conduct research on social media trends and audience engagement strategies.
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with followers.
- Assist in organizing and promoting virtual events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the communications team on content creation and campaign planning.
- Suggest other innovative ideas for effective reach mobilization to reach the target audience
- Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to align with Organization goals.
- Create, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news)
- Suggest and implement new features to promote advocacy work
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
- Provide administrative support to the communications department as needed.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing social media accounts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and their functionalities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with design tools and content creation software is a plus.
- Passion for women's rights, social justice and storytelling.

- Safeguarding: The post holder is required to carry out duties in accordance with VFN anti-harassment policy.
- Health and Safety: The role holder is required to carry out duties in accordance with VFN Health and Safety policies and procedures
Location: GRA, Osogbo, Osun State Nigeria.
Date of Joining: 1st May, 2024
Probation Period: 3 months
Contract duration: one year
