Communication Officer

Responsibilities:

• Establish a strong collaboration with management to develop, and implement an effective, efficient communication strategy based on the organization's audiences and project parameters.
• Write, edit, review, and disseminate content, including various publications, press releases, website content, social media posts, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing materials that communicate the organization’s activities.
• Maintain active records of media coverage of the organization, and collate analytics and metrics on traditional and social media engagements.
• Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a focal point for information on the organization.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a BSc in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience in a communication role.  
• Strong project management skills and experience with superb attention to detail.
• An excellent storyteller, and communicator.
• Analytical and able to identify trends in the underlying data based on a defined set of a metrics
• Excellent writing, editing, and reviewing skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Must be brand reputation cautious and should also be comfortable designing and executing campaigns on social media platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft software and Google cloud suites for various solutions
• Problem solver that can multitask effectively, delivering assignments on time with consistent quality. 
• Experience working in a similar role with a non-governmental organization will be an added advantage.
