Blasting Helper

We are looking for a

Blasting Helper who will be assisting in filling blast holes with explosives and detonating explosives to dislodge limestone and rock

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure proper handling of explosives and accessories Assemble primer charges using selected detonators, fuses, detonating cords, and other materials. Assist in loading explosives in blast holes by hand or direct movement of bulk explosives trucks to load holes. Handle, store, and transport explosives and accessories in accordance with regulations and ensure that safety procedures are observed. Achieve good fragmentation through proper stemming and good connection at all times. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Blaster from time to time.

Requirements

A Primary school certificate. Minimum of two (2) years work experience in blasting.
