The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance, in line with local regulations and corporate policies. The role involves preparing and analyzing financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing analytical support to management.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Using financial reporting systems to create, manage and distribute regular monthly financial reports for the office/function.
- Develop and maintain analytical models to analyse office/function activities and effectively communicate results to office/function leaders.
- Prepare, process and analyse transactions for the office/function as appropriate and maintain relevant financial databases and data systems.
- Respond to colleagues’ enquiries on financial policies and tools (e.g., expense reporting tool).
- Responsible for tax calculations, filings and remissions in accordance with the regulations and policies.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting.
- Work directly with finance managers, partners, team leaders and colleagues across several administrative functions within the firm
Requirements:
- Must Reside in Abuja
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting/tax experience, ideally in Engineering or Construction services.
- Must possess a professional certification from an Accounting body such as ICAN, ACCA, CNA amongst others.
- Relevant knowledge of local accounting rules and taxes.
- Specialised functional knowledge (e.g., finance, accounting, audit, cash management, taxes).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and internal stakeholders in both verbal and written form and to influence others and must be fluent in English.
- Independent project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
