Job Summary
The Wealth Manager/ Investment Specialist will work individually and with our client’s existing branches to build and support a portfolio of Affluent to High-Net-Worth and Ultra high-net-worth Individuals, families, and Organizations to manage their investment portfolios and achieve their financial goals, through the provision of expert advice on investment strategies, asset allocation, and wealth management to ensure optimal returns and risk management. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the financial markets, investment products, and client relationship management. The incumbent will work with all branches allocated to them and educate the frontline teams on our Wealth Management product offering and in turn activate the branches to achieve their set targets on Wealth Management.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Client Origination:
- Through its own network, the Wealth Management and Investment Specialist will originate investment transactions for clients interested in Wealth Management solutions.
- Work with all branches allocated to them or that is their responsibility to activate Wealth Management sales as per agreed branch targets.
- Build, understand, and sustain relationships with clients and their circle of influence (parents, mentors, advisors, or family members).
Client Relationship Management:
- Initiate, establish, service, and manage the needs of high-net-worth individuals or Institutions under their portfolio.
- Understand clients’ financial goals, risk appetites, and investment preferences.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and assess the investment needs of clients in their portfolios.
- Provide personalized investment advice and develop tailored investment strategies.
- Communicate regularly with clients to review portfolio performance, discuss investment opportunities, and address any concerns.
- Serve as a problem-solver for the client, helping them identify Investment criteria, recognize and handle concerns that arise as consultation moves closer to decision
- Drive Portfolio growth through existing clients and increased product per customer.
Investment Planning and Strategy:
- Understand research and market outlook information shared by our partners on Investment opportunities, financial markets, and economic trends.
- Discuss investment strategies and asset allocation plans based on the client’s objectives and risk profiles.
- Recommend suitable investment products, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and alternative investments.
- Analyze investment performance and make necessary adjustments to portfolios to optimize returns and manage risk.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and market conditions that may impact clients' investments.
- Continuously monitor and review clients' financial plans to ensure alignment with changing circumstances and goals.
Portfolio Management:
- Execute trades and manage clients' investment portfolios in line with agreed-upon strategies.
- Provide ongoing portfolio supervision, with a continuous focus on helping the client adapt to changes in personal circumstances and the financial environment.
- Manage and anticipate client requirements with a focus on managing the existing base as well as increasing cross-product holding per client.
- Monitor portfolio performance and conduct periodic rebalancing to maintain target asset allocations.
- Retain existing high-value clients by growing of wallets with our Clients through relationship management activities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and make informed decisions based on fundamental and technical analysis.
- Utilize financial models and tools to assess risk and performance metrics.
- Provide clients with regular performance reports and updates, highlighting investment performance and progress toward clients’ financial goals.
Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and act in clients' best interests at all times.
- Comply with legal and compliance policies and all the laid-out guidelines by the Wealth Management regulators.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, ethical standards, and professional certifications.
- Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Understand and comply with it, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations including those governing anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions, the group’s policies and procedures, and the Group Code of Conduct.

Documentation and Processing:
- Carry out effective Data Protection Mechanisms and guarantee all documents received from clients are stored both as hard copies and soft copies
- Adherence to the Wealth Management process and Compliance.
- Conduct investigations on the authenticity of every client fairly.
- Ensure no breach of Data Privacy and Confidentiality.
- Ensure KYC compliance for all new clients.
- Ensure complete adherence to Principles & Policy of Treating Customers’ information as confidential.
- Interface with clients and retrieve important information/documents.
- Conduct daily reviews to ensure all documents required for processing are collected and documented.
- Download all documents from the client’s folder and file them on SharePoint.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA or designation may be preferred.
- Relevant experience in financial services and advisory, and the ability to break down and demystify complex information and explain the same to the frontline teams and clients.
- Well-presented and confident in high-value segment space with good sales and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in wealth management, investment advisory, or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct investment research and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficient in financial modelling and investment analysis tools.
- Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial industry.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and meet deadlines.
- Ethical and trustworthy approach to handling clients' confidential information.
- Good presentation and an understanding of customer relations and managing the needs of high-value clients.
Renumeration: NGN 1,500,000 monthly
