About the role
The ideal candidate is responsible for investor relations, fundraising and executing
strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions (M and amp;A) and business development.
This role will serve as a key strategic advisor to executive management, contributing
to the long-term growth and success of the group.
What do you need to be successful?
- Strategic Planning
- Develop, own and oversee the implementation of the 10-year strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the company and #x27;s vision and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial data, market trends, and socio-economic factors to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement scenario planning models that evaluate the potential impact of various business strategies and market conditions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive management for optimizing business performance.
- Stay updated on socio-economic trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities or threats.
- Collaborate with other departments as an internal consultant, providing financial expertise and guidance to support decision-making processes.
- M and amp;A and amp; Business Development
- Drive business development efforts, including identifying and evaluating new markets, partners, channels, and customers.
- Lead mergers and acquisitions (M and amp;A) activities, from target identification and evaluation to negotiation and deal structuring.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive management, providing financial insights and recommendations on key business decisions and growth strategies.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Oversee capital allocation strategies, including assessing investment opportunities, optimizing capital structure, and managing risk exposure.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors and financial institutions, managing investor relations and facilitating fund-raising activities.
- Fund Raise and Investor Relations
- Develop and implement strategies to raise funds, including equity financing, debt financing, and strategic investments.
- Collaborate with the Debt and Capital Markets team on all debt raise activities
- Lead investor relations efforts, maintaining strong relationships with current investors and attracting new investors.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and investment proposals to investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate the group and #x27;s financial performance, growth strategies, and investment opportunities to the investor community.
- Design and implement an Investors Relations Framework and Policy
- Develop systems and procedures for responding to investor requests and queries with a reasonable expectation of timeliness.
- Team Building and Leadership
- Build and lead a high performing finance and business development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with the group and #x27;s overall objectives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recognize and reward outstanding achievements.

What should you have done in your career?
- Bachelor and #x27;s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master and #x27;s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in corporate finance, business development, and strategic planning, preferably at a senior management level.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Solid understanding of M and amp;A processes, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to both internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic mindset and the ability to think critically and make data driven decisions.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of industry dynamics and market trends.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
