Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations within the tailoring department, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production timelines.
- Draft accurate and well-fitting patterns based on design specifications and customer measurements.
- Oversee garment construction processes to ensure quality, fit, and consistency.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished garments to ensure they meet established standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to tailors and sewing staff.
- Collaborate with designers, production managers, and other stakeholders to interpret designs and execute them accurately.
- Manage fabric and material usage to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in tailoring, pattern drafting, and garment construction.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within a fashion or tailoring workshop.
- Strong understanding of garment fitting, alterations, and production techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to interpret fashion sketches, technical drawings, and measurements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in a fashion house or tailoring workshop
- Strong pattern drafting and garment construction skills
- Ability to lead, guide, and manage a tailoring team
