Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and handle transactions with efficiency and accuracy.
- Scan goods and collect payments via cash, card, or mobile methods.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area.
- Keep records of transactions and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Assist with bagging items and managing the queue during busy periods.
- Report any pricing discrepancies or technical issues with the POS system.
- Collaborate with floor staff to ensure seamless customer service.
- Follow all store policies regarding cash handling, refunds, and customer service.
- Provide information on promotions, store products, or loyalty programs when needed.
- Ensuring goods purchased are carefully bagged and packaged for customers in line with the company’s policy.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail/customer service role is an advantage.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
- High level of integrity and attention to accuracy.
- Friendly, polite, and helpful demeanor.
