Senior Environmental and Social Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field surveys by following standard sampling protocols and collect Environmental data from field assignments such as Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Audits, Post Impact Assessments, Environmental Evaluation studies, etc.
• Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and associated Management Plans for project developers, 
• Project Finance E&S Due Diligence and Monitoring Assessment for lenders and investors
• Ensuring that the quality of deliverables is to a consistently high standard by ensuring that Technical Reviews are undertaken on all deliverables and are in accordance with best practice.
• Clear and accurate report writing, evaluation of reports, and verification of data and input received from specialists.
• Preparation of high-quality reports and presentations
• Write reports and share findings with multi-disciplinary colleagues, clients, subcontractors (such as analytical laboratories), and regulators.
• Must be familiar with the use of Environmental regulations in the comparison/interpretation of data for standard environmental report writing.
• Conduct research and consistently improve the approach to reporting and documentation.
• Advice on best courses of action based on research findings.
• Experience in conducting workshops and seminars is an advantage.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor’s Degree or M.Sc  in a relevant discipline, preferably in an  Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related field. from an accredited institution. 
• Minimum 3 years experience in the environmental profession covering environmental (and social) baseline studies, impact assessment, due diligence audit, and monitoring.
• Experience in technical reporting and presentations. 
• Familiar with applicable environmental laws and regulations and dealings with local regulatory authorities. 
• Applied knowledge of and experience with the IFC Performance Standards (IFC PS, ) World Bank Environmental and Social Standards (ESS), or equivalent international environmental and social standards used in project finance 
• Proven experience in collaborative work in teams and with other disciplines.

Location: Ojodu/ Omole, Lagos State. The proximity of the residence to the office will be highly considered.
