Job summary
We are looking for native speakers of Nigerian languages to contribute to building one of Africa’s largest spoken-language datasets. This role involves recording voice samples and completing transcription tasks that will power the next generation of AI systems across voice assistants, translation tools, and smart devices. This is a fully remote and flexible opportunity designed for individuals who want to contribute to the future of African languages in technology while earning based on performance.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Voice Recording: Record sentences clearly and accurately in your native language using the FundrAI platform
- Transcription Tasks: Complete assigned transcription exercises as part of platform activities
- Consistency: Participate regularly to improve performance ranking
- Quality Assurance: Ensure recordings are clear, natural, and free from background noise
- Platform Engagement: Actively contribute to dataset growth through continuous participation
Requirements:
- Native fluency in at least one Nigerian language
- Ability to speak clearly and naturally
- Access to a smartphone with a functional microphone
- Basic ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Commitment to consistent participation

Recruitment Process:
- Compensation for top performers during the interview phase.
- All applicants participate through the DART Competition (Digital African Representation and Translation Competition).
- The DART Competition serves as both the application and assessment process
- Participants complete voice recordings and transcription tasks
- Performance is evaluated based on consistency and quality
Benefits:
- Top 100 performers receive NGN 40,000 each

Selection Criteria:
- Volume of Participation: Number of completed recordings and tasks
- Quality of Submissions: Clarity, fluency, and accuracy of recordings
