Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Receive, interpret, and process prescription orders accurately
- Measure, package, label, and record medications under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring expiry dates
- Handle billing, insurance claims, and payment processing where applicable
- Provide basic medication information to patients as permitted
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the pharmacy work area
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional pharmacy regulations
- Report medication errors, adverse reactions, or discrepancies promptly
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technology or related field
- Registration/licensure with relevant regulatory authority (where applicable)
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and drug classifications
- Computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy management systems
