Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Use and maintain advanced instruments like microscopes, cell counters, and automated analyzers, ensuring accuracy.
- Implement strict quality control procedures to guarantee reliable results.
- Report critical findings promptly and accurately to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Evaluate and implement new testing procedures and technologies.
- Conduct tests in areas like chemistry (glucose, electrolytes), hematology (blood cells), microbiology (infections), immunology, and blood banking (transfusions).
- Evaluate test results, identify abnormalities, and determine the significance of findings for diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using office equipment, such as computers, phones, and other basic office equipment, is often required
- Minimum of B.Sc in Medical Lab Science with current registration and practicing license from the Medical and Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
