Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and other specimen analyses.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., chemistry analyzers, rapid test kits, etc.).
- Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, and handling.
- Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory at all times.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality control standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock of reagents and consumables.
- Assist with patient follow-ups where necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Valid practicing license (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 1–3 years relevant work experience (preferred).
- Experience working in a clinic or diagnostic laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Good understanding of quality control and safety practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems
Professional attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
