Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Marketing Officer who will follow through on targets set by mobilizing deposit liabilities through the different products of the bank as well as generating revenues for the bank through property sales and customer e-banking onboarding. Solicit/develop and maintain profitable long-term account relationships with customers.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the target set regarding deposit liabilities, risk assets, and Profit after Tax PAT/PBT are met.
  • Assist in preparing annual sales plans and strategies to enable the team to achieve targeted growth objectives.
  • Prospect and market the bank’s products to meet customer needs.
  • Negotiate & convince customers to buy the bank’s product/services (liability, risk, etc.).
  • Assist in developing and updating strategic plans in line with the current prevailing market realities.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Maintain strong interdepartmental relationships with relevant departments and follow up on transaction processing to ensure customer instructions are attended to promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain adequate records of all transactions.
  • Prompt processing of credit facilities.
  • Effective collection of all PDOs.
  • Prompt processing of liquidation of facilities and rollovers.
  • Effective Relationship Management.
  • Ensure effective relationship management with new and existing customers to improve deposit liability growth and mix.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Lower Division or above) from a recognized university.
  • A postgraduate qualification (e.g., a Master’s degree) is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage banking operations, services, and product offerings.
  • Familiarity with internal policies and procedures specific to mortgage institutions.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies within the mortgage banking sector.
  • Insight into the corporate strategy of a mortgage bank and how departmental goals align with broader organizational objectives.

  • Strategic/Business/sales planning skills.
  • Credit Administration (covers the entire process of giving out loans till when the customer pays back), analysis, and risk management.
