The Loan and Risk Officer will be crucial in assessing and managing risk across our loan portfolio. This involves evaluating loan applications, conducting due diligence, and monitoring loan performance to ensure compliance with our risk management framework.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze loan applications, including financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation, to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on loan applicants, including background checks and site visits, to verify information and assess collateral.
  • Develop and implement risk assessment models and tools to evaluate loan portfolio risk.
  • Monitor loan performance and identify early warning signs of potential delinquencies or defaults.
  • Prepare loan documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and compliance, to manage loan portfolio risk effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes related to loan origination and risk management.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's risk management framework.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit analysis, loan origination, or risk management, preferably within the asset management industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk analysis, and loan documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
