Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathe machines (manual or CNC)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Machine metal parts to the required dimensions and tolerances
- Select appropriate cutting tools and materials
- Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Report faults or production issues to the supervisor
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND/Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a lathe machine operator
