Junior administrative officer (legal experience required)

Job Description/Requirements

  • Be situated at the company’s receptionist/front desk
  • Greet and welcome visitors as they enter the office
  • The candidate must have a Law degree or have at least 1 year of legal experience
  • Act as a personal assistant to the Managing Director and/or other executives
  • Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, distribute memos and reports, and ensure that everyone is kept current on necessary company news and information
  • Assist Legal Counsel in creating, reviewing agreements, and contract administration
  • Assist Legal Counsel in maintaining and creating a database of all legal, compliance, and regulatory records
  • Assist with application of all regulatory permits and ensure the company is compliant with all regulations
  • Oversee the company’s administration by ensuring employees are compliant with duties and documents
  • Organize and maintain personnel records of all staff, contractors, and employees
  • Oversee the company’s document management process and ensure all company documents and database are kept in a file and up to date
  • Create presentations and monthly/weekly reports and submit them to management
  • Oversee all office administrative duties such as office supplies, office maintenance, vehicle maintenance, asset maintenance, etc.
  • Keep an updated database of the number of days of work for field staff
  • Create effective channels of communication between employees and management
  • Create and circulate documents about the policies of our organization 
  • Occasionally traveling off-site to deliver reports or files to other departments.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
  • Any other duties as assigned by management

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law or at least 1 solid year of Legal Experience
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented and be a person of integrity
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and operations intensive environment
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be an aggressive go-getter
  • Must be able to work on multiple tasks at the same time
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and presentation skills are a must
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word Skills
  • Must be able to interact with all departments including accounting, operations, and contract administration.

Salary: NGN 100,000 per month plus health insurance, leave allowance, and other benefits
