Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients and suppliers as necessary.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and report discrepancies to the Finance Manager.
Reconciliation:
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, and internal records.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing the required financial documents and information.
Inventory Accounting:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions in the accounting system.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to reconcile inventory accounts
Record Keeping:
- Maintain organised financial records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide insights and
recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
Requirements:
- Minimum HND
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting
Finance
or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.
QuickBooks
Sage
or similar). • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
