Job Description/Requirements
- Lead and coordinate the IT-QA team, ensuring alignment with internal SOPs and production targets.
- Support the Processing unit with field engineering expertise for repairs, refurbishment, and diagnostics.
- Train staff through internal product awareness sessions and technical upskilling.
- Promote a culture of accountability, orderliness, and teamwork.
- Implement and monitor QA procedures: SOP compliance, RMA investigations, and device grading.
- Oversee the refurbishing of used IT devices, ensuring output meets internal and market standards.
- Authorize physical/electronic audits and ensure traceability records are maintained.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for device issues during processing.
- Identify opportunities to optimize repair methods, improve refurbishing flow, and reduce turnaround time.
- Recommend tools or software that enhance diagnosis or refurbishing efficiency.
- Pilot visual inspection aids or self-check stations for non-technical staff to preliminarily screen devices.
- Enforce Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards in the IT refurbishing area.
- Ensure workers' tools are properly organized, safe, and maintained.
- Monitor adherence to clean desk and safe work zone practices to prevent accidents and asset mix-ups.
- Design and install visual learning tools such as Illustrated wall charts (e.g., device disassembly guides, part locations, component quality levels).
- Processing flow diagrams, color-coded QA tags, and image-based posters for device types.
- Collaborate with design/branding to develop portrait-format wallpapers for the Processing Unit that highlight SOP steps and refurbishing dos and don’ts.
- Encourage self-learning stations or laminated checklists within the team zone.
- Coordinate with the Processing, Tech, Logistics, and SSL units for a smooth workflow.
- Submit regular reports on QA performance, audit outcomes, and refurbishing success rates.
- Identify cross-departmental process improvements or recurring asset faults for upstream resolution.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years in IT asset refurbishing, QA, or technical team management.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Makor ERP), diagnostic tools, and ITAD standards.
- Familiarity with HSE regulations, workplace organization systems (e.g., A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, 5S method), and asset documentation.
