We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Portfolio Lead. This role is within the Vacuum Technique Business Area reporting to Vice President of Information Systems for Vacuum Technique Business Area.
This role is an opportunity to lead the transformation of IT Portfolio management practices, adopting agile methodologies to provide transparency across strategic IT investments and enable value-based decision making.
The job holder will be responsible for driving the strategic IT demand planning process, engaging across IT and the wider business to manage major IT demand against strategic business objectives, budgets, and capacity.
Responsibilities
Mature and build on existing IT Portfolio management practices, adopting agile demand management principles enabled by the right tools. Build strong working relationships with IT delivery leads and wider Business organisation to ensure the smooth operation of the technology Portfolio Governance Process. Govern and lead strategic IT demand planning, coordinating with IT delivery leads and wider Business stakeholders to collate, analyse, plan and prioritise strategic IT demand to deliver against the technology strategy and longer-term business objectives. Establish and manage the strategic IT roadmap to provide a single view of truth on major IS priorities. Oversee strategic IT demand financial analysis, articulating initiative costs and forecast benefits to enable value-based decision making. Partner with the VP of Information Systems to define metrics for reporting portfolio performance. Effectively manage IT Portfolio and project management talent, creating a collaborative environment where colleagues can learn and grow. Develop the people within and beyond the PMO function to work with best practice methodology and drive value add to the VTIS function.Experience Requirements
Proven experience managing a complex IT Portfolio and applying agile practices including quarterly increment planning. Strong communication skills with evidenced ability to influence senior Business and IT stakeholders, as well as external partners. Strong financial literacy to enable value-based decision making. Certified in a technology planning methodology (including but not limited to SAFe Agilist, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management or PMP). Proven leadership experience, working with and leading geographically dispersed teams. Experience in an IT Portfolio Lead, IT Programme Manager, or equivalent position is preferred. Experience in High Tech Manufacturing or a related industry is preferred.What you can expect from us
