Inventory Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Officer (Pharmacy Technician) to manage and oversee pharmaceutical stock. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage of medications, and preventing stock shortages or expiries.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of drugs and medical supplies
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock
- Ensure proper storage conditions in line with pharmaceutical standards
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Track expiry dates and remove near-expiry or expired products
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock management systems
- Prepare inventory reports and highlight discrepancies
- Coordinate with procurement for timely restocking
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Minimize stock losses, damages, and pilferage
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification as a Pharmacy Technician or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in pharmacy inventory or storekeeping
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and storage requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
- Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy inventory management
- Familiarity with inventory software or ERP systems.
