As an Inventory Accountant, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining our inventory system using Zoho Inventory and Books. Your role will involve tracking and recording inventory transactions, analyzing inventory data, and ensuring accurate stock levels.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the inventory system using Zoho Inventory and Books.
- Establish and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, product descriptions, and pricing information.
- Monitor and track inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and procurement, to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Prepare regular inventory reports and financial statements related to inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize errors, theft, and stock obsolescence.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in
inventory management.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as an Inventory Accountant, preferably in the food processing industry.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Zoho Inventory and Zoho Books.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex inventory data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Location: Candidates must reside within Yaba and its environs.
