Internal Control Officer

• Daily cash count of all till transactions.
• Daily call over of all till transaction.
• Checking and Examination of marketers' cash register to make sure it tallies with journals submitted to tellers
• Conduct spot checks, stock taking, and other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
• Ensure that branch staff complies with the internal code of conduct, policy, and regulations on transactions initiated by the bank.
• Conduct the special investigation as may be directed by the Internal Control Head and Management.
• Review account opening and documentation on client files on a periodic basis.
• Review of general ledgers.
• Reconciliation of accounts when there are discrepancies between passbook and system balances.
• Serial arrangement of deposit booklet before it can be issued out to marketers.
• Visitation and Verification of savings and loan customers and writing of the detailed report.
• Bank reconciliation at month end.

Requirements:

• Academic qualification of a Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accountancy or Banking and Finance plus other professional qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office programs
• Knowledge of relevant accounting packages
• Knowledge of best practices in internal control and audit
• Knowledge of existing regulatory framework
