Job Summary
The responsibility of the hostel supervisor is to watch over all activities of the training hostel. He is responsible for managing different hostel facilities like catering, cleanliness, and maintenance. He is responsible to maintain a friendly and safe environment in which each trainee can live with freedom.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a high standard of guest care is provided at all times.
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety, and security of the guests and staff at all times.
- Comply with all hostel policies, procedures, and instructions and ensure that all required hostel records are kept appropriately.
- Ensure all hostel customer services and guest facility provisions are welcoming, clean, comfortable and secure, and maintained to appropriate quality standards.
- Arrange and supervise the cleaning of the hostel and public areas.
- Responsible for inspecting all parts of the hostel, ensuring a safe secure, and clean environment.
- Maintain effective routine communication with the line Manager, particularly to take crucial decisions.
- Supervise meals, assist in menu planning, and ensure good food hygiene.
- Provide a full reception service to hostel guests, including check-in, guest registration, and check-out, handling participants’ inquiries, and providing information, guidance, and support for training participants and their onward travels.
- Arrange for and make purchase requests of items needed in the hostel, as well as request for and supervise repairs and maintenance work carried out at the hostel.
- Provide weekly written reports to the line manager and keep proper documentation of all activities and maintenance work carried out at the hostel.
- Provide additional administrative support for team members as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience managing a hostel or being in the hospitality space
- Must be an organized person
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain high levels of professionalism, integrity, and ethics
- Possess effective report-writing skills
