Head of Finance

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Responsible for the prompt, periodic, and timely reconciliation of the Bank’s financial accounts as prescribed by the Bank’s finance and operations policy.
• Support the development and implementation of the Bank’s strategic and business plan through allocation of financial resources to ensure proper management of financial resources and assets of the company.
• Manage the utilization of company finances according to established policies, plans, and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out financial planning using projection models and other financial tools and disseminate the information to the various stakeholders within and without the organization.
• Provide accurate and timely periodic financial reports and other reports to the various stakeholders as per policy or on need basis; prepare reports for management, directors, auditors, regulators, government agencies and departments including for tax compliance purposes.
• Coordination of budget preparation and consolidation of annual projections.
• Daily recommendation and approval of expenses or transactions.
• Review of assets, liabilities, income and expenses.
• Review and renewal of policies such as insurance policies.
• Preparation and submission of monthly and annual regulatory returns
• Preparation and presentation of reports to the Asset and Liability Committee
• Management of assets, liabilities, equity, income and expenses.
• Verification of depreciation and amortization on a monthly basis.
• Analysis of financial statements on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Attending to external auditors’ requests on occasion.
• Attending to regulators such as CBN, NDIC, Tax Authority, and CAC.

Requirements:

• HND / Bachelor’s degree in  Accounting (ICAN/ACCA certification will be an added advantage)   
• ⁠Minimum of 3-5 years of banking  experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Proximity of Residential address to Surulere is compulsory.
