Job Summary

The Head Management Account is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting financial data to support effective decision-making, financial planning, and performance management. This role plays a key part in budgeting, cost control, and internal reporting to ensure financial health and strategic alignment of the organization.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts with variance analysis.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insightful reports and commentary to management.
  • Maintain cost accounting systems and monitor cost drivers across departments.
  • Support strategic planning through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with department heads to track KPIs and improve financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions where needed.
  • Assist in year-end closing and preparation of financial statements.
  • Continuously improve financial reporting systems and processes.


Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in the following areas:
  • Standard Costing
  • Budgeting and Budgetary Control
  • Inventory Management
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
  • At least 10 years working as a Management Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing firm (experience in a pharmaceutical company will be an added advantage)
