Front End Developer

Responsibilities:

Develop User-Facing Features:

• Build and maintain high-quality user interfaces and features using modern front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Implement Responsive Design: 

• Ensure the application is fully responsive and functions flawlessly across various devices, screen sizes, and web browsers.

Optimize Performance: 

• Continuously improve website performance and efficiency by optimizing code, images, and other assets to ensure fast load times.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: 

• Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional code, and with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic and APIs.

Write Clean, Maintainable Code: 

• Develop reusable, modular, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.

Troubleshoot and Debug: 

• Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks using browser developer tools and other debugging techniques.

Ensure Accessibility: 

• Adhere to web accessibility standards (WCAG) to make the application usable for individuals with disabilities.

Stay Up to Date: 

• Keep current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience. 
• Experience with CSS pre-processors like Sass or LESS.
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with a modern front-end framework or library such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• In-depth knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Knowledge of build tools such as Webpack or Gulp.
• Experience with a design tool like Figma or Sketch.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and how they apply to front-end development.
• Passionate about creating intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing web interfaces. 
• Must live within or close to Ojodu Berger, Lagos.

Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days Remote)
