Financial Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports that accurately reflect the company’s financial position, including balance sheet, income, and cash flow statements
• Develop budgets and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
• Provide support and guidance to other departments on financial matters.
• Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
• Conduct internal audits to assess financial controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and file various financial reports and disclosures as required.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a financial accountant with at least 2 years of that in a senior role.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
• Proficiency with sage accounting and other accounting software.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
• Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• High level of emotional intelligence.
• Ambitious self-starter.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Socially conscious and interested in contributing to the development of the country.
