Job Summary
Equity Circle seeks a Finance Officer to manage financial records, reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance. The role involves handling accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and supporting audits. You will support the financial operations of the company by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations. Candidates must have 2–3 years of finance experience, strong Excel skills, and great attention to detail.

Job Description/Requirements
- Financial Reporting & Record-Keeping: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Maintain general ledger accounts and assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper cash flow management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Support departmental heads with financial data for planning purposes.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls. Support internal and external audit exercises by preparing required documentation.
- Payroll & Statutory Remittances: Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely remittance of PAYE, pension, and other statutory deductions.
- Other Duties: Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records. Provide support in improving financial procedures and systems. Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or CFO.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounts.
- Interested and qualified candidates must reside on the Island or its environment.
